Located just 4.5 kilometres from Alexanderplatz, RUTHS KIEZ brings you the Berlin mix at its best!
Set in the middle of Weißensee, a district dating back to the late 19th century, between Weißenseer Spitze and Antonplatz, and between Lehderstrasse and Langhansstrasse, you will find a mix of traditional and new crafts, young art and long-established trades, creative spirit and a neighbourhood history.
CARL Ruthenberg laid the foundation with his gold border factory in 1898, and between 1904 and 1910, his son, Hermann, created something unique to Berlin: he offered a completely novel mix of workshops, studios and flats in his “Höfe”, aka courtyards. Ruthenberg’s great-grandson, WAYNE, still relies on this special mix for the development of the courtyards.
